St John the Baptist church is the smallest of the three churches in our group and is set in the smallest community of all. But it has a rich heritage and, whilst once an estate village centred around Kingscote House, has now become a popular place for young families to live.

 

The mixed community we serve (known as the Parish of Newington Bagpath with Kingscote) is actually more than one community. The village of Kingscote and the village of Bagpath are separated by the main road. (In former times there was also a church in Bagpath).
